Command Syntax
MIRROR [drive] [/l] [/tdrive[-entries]]
or
MIRROR [/u]
or
MIRROR [/partn]
-
drive saves file and directory information for unformatting use
later. You may specify several drives by separating them with a space.
-
/l doesn't make a backup copy of the file and directory info.
-
/tdrive loads MIRROR as a memory resident program (TSR) which tracks
deleted files. You may specify the number of tracked files by changing the
-entries option. The tracking information is held in a file called
PCTRAKR.DEL
-
/u unloads the delete tracking program
-
/partn saves hard disk partition table info to a floppy disk.
If you don't specify the entries option for the delete tracker,
MIRROR uses these values:

Comments
MIRROR can be very useful. It's based on a similar program from
the old Central Point PC Tools suite. The same people also provided UNDELETE
and UNFORMAT. In DOS 6 UNDELETE replaces the delete tracker. The
file, directory and partition saving stuff hasn't been replaced by anything.
Central Point have now been taken over by Symantec and the only utility
package available from them now is Norton Utilities (although it
is pretty good).
